Role Description The Public Health and Community Medicine role at the Faculty of Medicine, Al-Azhar University is a full-time, on-site position based in Asyūţ. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in public health and community medicine to undergraduate and postgraduate learners. The role involves designing and updating curricula, supervising student projects and research, and participating in departmental and faculty meetings. Team members contribute to community-based health programs, conduct fieldwork and epidemiological studies, and collaborate on research initiatives. Additional duties include academic advising, participation in committees, and contributing to quality assurance and accreditation activities. Qualifications Strong foundation in Public Health and Community Health, with experience applying these principles in academic or field settings. Proficiency in Environmental Health concepts and practices relevant to community medicine. Well-developed Analytical Skills for interpreting health data, conducting research, and supporting evidence-based decisions. Effective Communication skills for teaching, community outreach, interdisciplinary collaboration, and report writing. Advanced degree in Public Health, Community Medicine, or a closely related discipline (e.g., MPH, MD with specialization, or PhD). Experience in university-level teaching, curriculum development, or academic supervision is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and engage with community stakeholders. Commitment to ethical practice, continuous learning, and improving health outcomes in underserved communities.
