Role Description The Engineer role is a part-time remote position responsible for supporting the technical infrastructure that underpins broadcasting and media-related activities. Day-to-day tasks may include maintaining and troubleshooting audio-visual systems, broadcast equipment, and related software tools used for content production and transmission. The Engineer will assist with configuring systems, monitoring performance, and implementing improvements to ensure reliability and quality of service. The role may also involve collaborating with educators, technicians, and content teams to support remote learning platforms, virtual studios, and digital media workflows. Documentation of technical procedures and clear communication with stakeholders are important aspects of this position. Qualifications Strong foundation in engineering principles related to broadcasting, electronics, or audio-visual systems. Experience with installation, configuration, and maintenance of broadcast or media production equipment and software. Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues in remote and hybrid environments, including basic networking and systems troubleshooting. Proficiency in using digital tools and collaboration platforms to support remote work and online training environments. Effective communication skills and ability to work cooperatively with technical and non-technical team members. Demonstrated ability to manage time and tasks in a part-time role, with attention to detail and documentation. Relevant academic background in Engineering, Media Technology, Electronics, or a related field is preferred.
