Overview of the job and the company
We are a leading company in the heavy equipment tires sector, focusing on marketing and supporting high-performance solutions and heavy machinery mechanisms that meet construction and infrastructure project needs in the Egyptian market. We seek to hire a Sales Engineer / Heavy Equipment to join our team in Al-Obour, Egypt, to develop relationships with our partners and clients, and to provide innovative solutions that fit their technical and financial requirements.
Key responsibilities and duties
- Identify sales opportunities and develop strategic plans to reach potential customers in major project and industrial sites.
- Present a range of heavy equipment and provide technical and commercial recommendations according to client needs, and prepare accurate and clear proposals and contracts.
- Conduct technical project assessments, coordinate supply, and follow up with after-sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction and achieve profitability goals.
- Manage price and terms negotiations and comply with company policies and local regulatory requirements.
- Follow up on financial and credit requirements and technical reviews before closing deals.
- Coordinate with engineering and technical support teams to provide customized solutions and deliver demonstrations and samples when needed.
- Build an up-to-date customer database, provide regular sales performance reports and market data, and offer improvement recommendations.
Qualifications and requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Agricultural, Civil), or a field related to the heavy market.
- Experience level equivalent to 2 to 5 years in technical sales or heavy equipment sales or the construction sector.
- Practical knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, bulldozers, and basic transport and maintenance mechanisms.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, and ability to build sustainable professional relationships with clients.
- Good understanding of technical and financial sales processes, and ability to prepare quotes and perform cost-benefit analyses.
- Proficiency in Arabic, and preferably good English for technical communications with foreign companies or suppliers.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel to job sites within Egypt as needed.

- Analytical skills and ability to assess clients’ technical and economic needs.
- Ability to present demonstrations and provide simple technical explanations of heavy equipment.
- Time management and ability to work under pressure while achieving monthly and quarterly sales targets.
- Strong organizational and writing skills for preparing proposals and contractual documents.
- Ability to work in a team and coordinate effectively with engineering and after-sales service departments.
