Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Middle School English Language Teacher role based in Cairo at Orouba Language Schools – Maadi. The teacher will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and learning objectives. Daily responsibilities include creating lesson plans, assessing student progress through assignments and exams, and providing constructive feedback to support academic and personal growth. The teacher will manage classroom behavior, maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment, and communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and colleagues. Additional responsibilities include participating in department meetings, professional development sessions, school events, and collaborative planning with other teachers and staff.
Qualifications
Strong command of English language teaching, including grammar, reading, writing, speaking, and listening instruction for middle school learners. Classroom management skills, with the ability to create a structured, inclusive, and student-centered learning environment. Lesson planning and curriculum implementation skills, including designing age-appropriate activities, assessments, and differentiated instruction. Comfort using educational technology and digital tools (e.g., smart boards, presentations, online resources) to support and enhance instruction. Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, colleagues, and school leadership. Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field; teaching certification or equivalent credentials are preferred. Previous experience teaching English at the middle school level or similar age group is highly desirable.
