Role Description The Electrical Control Engineer will work on-site in Alexandria in a full-time capacity, supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of electrical control systems for building and real estate projects. Responsibilities include developing electrical control schematics, specifying components, and ensuring that designs comply with safety standards, regulations, and project requirements. The role involves troubleshooting and optimizing existing control systems, diagnosing faults, and implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime. The engineer will collaborate closely with project managers, site engineers, and external contractors to coordinate installation, testing, and commissioning activities. Daily tasks also include preparing technical documentation, reviewing design changes, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across electrical and control systems. Qualifications Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering with experience in Electrical Design for building or industrial applications. Hands-on expertise in Electrical Controls and Control Systems Design, including selection and integration of control components. Proven troubleshooting skills for electrical and control systems, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Familiarity with relevant standards, safety regulations, and best practices for electrical installations. Ability to read and produce electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation using appropriate software tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and reliability. Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams on-site. Previous experience in real estate, construction, or building services engineering is an advantage.
