Job Purpose:Follow up and execute all civil and architectural works on site. Ensure that all works are carried out according to the required schedule, specified quality standards, technical specifications, and the project’s occupational health and safety standards.
Tasks and Responsibilities:Review the shop drawings and discuss execution details with the direct manager (Construction Manager / Senior Site Engineer) to reach agreement. Review the required schedule with the manager and agree on a timeline for managing the execution team (site supervisors – subcontractors). Review the required resources (human resources – raw materials – equipment) with the manager and agree on a plan to provide them until the item is completed. Agree with the supervisors / the supervisor responsible for each item on the execution method and the time required to complete tasks/items. Follow up on the execution of items with supervisors and subcontractors to ensure they are carried out as required. Conduct a preliminary quantity take-off on site and coordinate with the manager to request materials and calculate waste quantities. Record productivity rates for self-performed activities. Monitor the recording and deployment of labor by supervisors periodically (daily – weekly – etc.) for the approval of monthly invoices. Coordinate with the survey engineer / surveyor to ensure that all works are executed according to the agreed coordinates and levels as per the approved shop drawings. Coordinate with safety supervisors to ensure all works are carried out in accordance with occupational health and safety standards. Coordinate with the direct manager and the quality engineer upon completion of each item to have it handed over and approved by the site consultant. Prepare a daily report covering all executed works, progress percentages, and productivity rates, and submit it to the direct manager. Perform any other tasks assigned by the direct manager within the scope of the job nature and within personal capabilities and abilities.
Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.2–5 years of relevant experience in construction/site engineering (or as required by the role level). Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and technical specifications. Good understanding of project scheduling and planning principles. Familiarity with quantity surveying and material take-off. Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards. Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., Auto CAD, MS Office; Primavera or similar is a plus). Strong communication and coordination skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
