The Senior Mechanical Production Engineer is responsible for planning, supervising, and optimizing all mechanical production activities related to the manufacturing and assembly of low-voltage and medium-voltage electrical panels. The role ensures production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and delivery schedules are achieved while continuously improving productivity and operational efficiency.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Management
- Supervise daily mechanical production activities and shop-floor operations.
- Ensure production plans are executed according to schedule and customer requirements.
- Monitor production KPIs including productivity, efficiency, rework, and delivery performance.
- Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Procurement, and Quality departments to ensure smooth workflow.
Manufacturing Operations
- Oversee fabrication processes including:
- CNC Punching
- Laser Cutting
- Bending
- Welding
- Grinding and Finishing
- Powder Coating
- Mechanical Assembly
- Ensure proper utilization of machinery, manpower, and resources.
Quality Control
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Review and resolve production-related quality issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects and rework.
Continuous Improvement
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and process improvement initiatives.
- Analyze production bottlenecks and implement efficiency improvements.
- Reduce waste, material consumption, and production costs.
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and evaluate production supervisors, technicians, and operators.
- Develop workforce skills and technical competencies.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Health & Safety
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and toolbox meetings.
- Promote safe work practices across all production areas.
