Position Title: Senior Mechanical Procurement Engineer Department: Procurement Location: New Cairo Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Procurement Engineer to manage the procurement of mechanical materials, equipment, and subcontractors for construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, vendor evaluation, technical and commercial assessments, negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining quality, budget, and project requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end procurement process for mechanical systems and materials, including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and infrastructure-related equipment. Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, and technical requirements to identify procurement needs. Prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs to qualified suppliers and subcontractors. Conduct technical and commercial evaluations of supplier quotations. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and contractual conditions. Coordinate with engineering, construction, planning, and commercial teams to ensure procurement activities align with project schedules. Develop and maintain relationships with approved suppliers and manufacturers. Monitor market trends, material availability, and cost fluctuations to optimize procurement strategies. Track purchase orders, supplier performance, and delivery status to ensure timely project execution. Resolve procurement-related issues, claims, and supplier disputes. Ensure compliance with company policies, project requirements, and applicable standards. Participate in supplier prequalification and vendor performance evaluations. Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and management updates. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.7–10 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, and equipment procurement. Experience working on large-scale construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects. Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Preferred Skills Strategic sourcing and vendor management.
