About this Role
We are seeking a Technical Delivery Project Lead to drive the successful planning, design and end-to-end delivery of UK IT portfolio initiatives funded through CAPEX. The individual will oversee one or more high complexity projects that span multiple systems, domains, suppliers and cross-functional teams. This role is key to ensuring business outcomes are delivered to standard, on time and within budget, while maintaining strong governance in line with Vodafone delivery methodologies.
What you will do
Vision, Planning and Control
Build, guide and support a cross-functional delivery team, fostering a collaborative environment with a shared sense of purpose.
Identify all stakeholders and suppliers from project initiation, nurturing productive partnerships throughout the lifecycle.
Communicate the high level project vision and outline the desired future state for customers.
Create detailed project plans using Transformational Flows, identifying resources, interdependencies, critical paths and business readiness activities.
Prepare cost estimates and ensure workstreams are fully integrated into the overall programme plan.
Track performance of the plan, embedding measurable outcomes and defining critical success factors.
Develop and manage stakeholder communication plans.
Forecast and manage colleague, technology and financial resources through the full delivery cycle.
Organisation & Leadership
Define required skill sets for each project and build teams capable of meeting them.
Lead and support teams to deliver project objectives successfully, balancing priorities and resolving constraints.
Provide coaching and mentoring to enhance motivation and engagement.
Build and influence positive relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups.
Develop and maintain stakeholder maps to ensure needs and expectations are understood and met.
Promote open communication and collaboration across all parties involved.
Who you are
More than six years of experience managing complex, end to end ICT projects.
Skilled in technical change and transformation delivery.
Knowledgeable about the software and application development lifecycle.
Experienced in managing diverse, cross cultural teams.
A relationship builder with strong influence at all organisational levels.
Familiar with managing programme and project budgets, including capitalisation and P&L considerations.
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Project.
Able to quickly absorb technical knowledge outside your core expertise.
Experienced in telecommunications and network or telco environments.
Certified in Prince2 Practitioner or PMP.
Adept at leading in matrix environments and driving high-performing teams.
