Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and file all tax returns (VAT, income tax, withholding tax, payroll tax, customs-related taxes, etc.) in accordance with applicable laws and deadlines. Ensure accurate tax treatment of retail transactions, including sales, discounts, promotions, returns, and online sales (if applicable). Monitor compliance across multiple stores, warehouses, and legal entities. Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure proper tax treatment for imported goods. Review vendor contracts for tax implications including VAT, withholding, and international transactions. Review tax and customs implications related to imported fashion goods, raw materials, and accessories. Ensure correct tax classification, duties, and VAT on imports in coordination with logistics and procurement teams. Monitor tax impact on inventory valuation and cost of goods sold. Support tax planning initiatives to optimize the company’s tax position while remaining compliant. Analyze the tax impact of new stores, new markets, franchising models, and promotional strategies. Prepare documentation and schedules required for tax audits and inspections. Follow up on tax assessments, objections, and settlements. Reconcile VAT accounts and resolve discrepancies related to POS systems and ERP data. Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.2–6 years of relevant tax experience, preferably in retail, fashion, FMCG, or trading companies. Strong knowledge of VAT and indirect taxes; experience with imports and customs is a plus. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, local tax certification) are an advantage. Solid understanding of tax laws and regulations. Strong analytical and numerical skills. Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel. Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
