Location: Giza, New 6th of October, Zone One Industrial Area Employment Type: Full-Time Industry: Food & Beverage Manufacturing About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Engineering Manager to lead our engineering function, supervise machine installation, oversee building and facilities maintenance, and support the establishment and development of the Engineering Department within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will ensure high operational reliability, robust engineering systems, and continuous improvement across all plant operations. Key Responsibilities Engineering Management:Lead, develop, and supervise the engineering and maintenance team. Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime. Lead machine installation, commissioning, upgrades, and automation projects. Ensure plant compliance with food safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory standards. Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions. Manage budgets, spare parts inventory, and contractor/vendor activities. Optimize plant utilities including steam, refrigeration, HVAC, water, and compressed air. Drive continuous improvement (CI/lean manufacturing) initiatives. Building & Facilities Maintenance:Oversee the operation and maintenance of buildings, facilities, utilities, and infrastructure. Manage facility systems (electrical supply, HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, structural integrity). Lead facility improvement, repair, and expansion projects. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Department Establishment & Development:Develop and structure the Engineering Department to support business goals. Implement departmental SOPs, engineering standards, and maintenance workflows (including CMMS). Define team roles, responsibilities, and KPIs for performance management. Build a culture of safety, reliability, and technical excellence. Implement training programs to enhance technical skills in the team. Maintain robust documentation, reporting, and compliance systems. Software & Technical Skills Proficiency in SCADA systems (monitoring, data analysis, alarm management). Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, or equivalent). Skilled in HMI configuration, automation interfaces, and control systems. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance planning and asset management. Competence in Auto CAD or similar tools for engineering drawings. Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus). Strong computer literacy (MS Office, data analysis tools, engineering software). Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field). 5–7 years of engineering leadership experience in food, FMCG, or manufacturing. Proven experience in machine installation, commissioning, and equipment reliability. Experience in building and facilities maintenance. Strong understanding of food industry standards (HACCP, ISO, GMP). Demonstrated ability in developing or establishing an engineering/maintenance department. Strong project management background and experience with automation systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
