Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in wastewater and water treatment plants. The position is based in Giza. Responsibilities include designing Develop detailed designs for mechanical systems related to infrastructure projects (e.g., pump stations, lift stations, utility pipelines, valves, ventilation). Perform mechanical and hydraulic calculations to support system design and sizing. Prepare technical drawings, design reports, BOQs, and technical specifications. Use specialized design software such as:Auto CAD MEPRevit Water GEMS / Sewer GEMSHAP (for HVAC calculations) Review and approve shop drawings, submittals, and equipment data sheets. Coordinate design work with other disciplines (civil, electrical, instrumentation). Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design standards. Support commissioning and testing activities for mechanical systems. Ensure compliance with local and international mechanical codes (e.g., ASHRAE, NFPA, Saudi Mechanical Code, SMACNA).
Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Experience 8–10 years of proven experience in mechanical infrastructure design. Computer Skills Very good Languages Very good Programming Use specialized design software such as: (Auto CAD MEP – Revit - Water GEMS / Sewer GEMS - HAP (for HVAC calculations) Experience in water and wastewater treatment projects is a strong advantage.
