Job Summary Intertrade is seeking a motivated and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will ensure the reliable operation of our production machinery by conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and driving maintenance efficiency. You’ll work closely with production and technical teams to minimize downtime, improve equipment reliability, and meet performance KPIs.
Key Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all production equipment to ensure maximum uptime. Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures in real time. Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans to reduce downtime and extend machine life. Monitor and improve key maintenance KPIs such as MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures), MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), and OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness). Implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles across production operations. Plan and execute maintenance shutdowns and ensure timely completion. Lead, allocate and supervise maintenance technicians, ensuring timely execution of tasks. Plan, coordinate, and manage maintenance projects to improve operational efficiency. Analyze root causes of recurring breakdowns and propose corrective actions. Ensure maintenance operations comply with safety protocols and company standards. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance work, repair history, and cost analysis. Identify and source necessary spare parts, tools, and molds for maintenance activities. Maintain a spare parts inventory and ensure critical items are always available. Support training of technicians to build skill and safety awareness. Provide periodic performance reports and reliability analysis to management.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.2 to 4 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, preferably with PVC extrusion machinery. Solid knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Proficiency in reading technical drawings, blueprints, and machine schematics. Experience implementing maintenance strategies and working with KPIs. Understanding of TPM and Lean Manufacturing tools. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Preferred Experience in the plastics or extrusion industry. Familiarity with Odoo ERP System. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Residency in 10th of Ramada, Al-Sharkia is a plus.
