Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities & Duties

• Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Measuring and analyzing project costs and quantities
• Evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotes
• Preparing contracts, change orders, and cost reports
• Providing cost advice and support to project teams
• Conducting value engineering and life cycle cost analyses

Quantity Surveyor Qualifications & Skills

• Experience with construction and project management software
• Professional accreditation such as MRICS or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of construction law and regulations
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Strong network within the construction industry
• Proficiency in procurement and contract negotiation
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Thorough understanding of construction industry regulations, standards, and best practices
• Proficiency with computer programs and software such as MS Excel and MS Project
