Description

Job Purpose:


To supervise the implementation of the business related testing activities, covering all requirements in terms of providing enhancements & support to ensure the delivery of defect free products & services with high quality. In addition to, ensuring proper communication between the Functional Testing team and the business.


Job Description:


1.Participate in the planning, monitoring, and control of the testing activities and tasks and work closely with the project team and key stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow


2.Ensure that all test documentation/deliverables are produced, maintained and signed off to ensure proper project closure.


3.Estimate the testing duration and completion time and negotiate with management to acquire the necessary resources to fulfil testing resource capacity


4.Ensure the test environment is put into place before test execution and managed during test execution.


5.Schedule the tests for execution and then monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions.


6.Review of release scope / requirements to ensure quality of documentation according to business requirements.


7.Responsible for initiating the RFP for any new project to align the vendor with the project’s scope/objective.


8.Produce and obtain Sign-Off of Test Plans / Test Approach documentation


9.Monitor quality of defects and allocate to the relevant team / work streams for fixing and resolution


10.Implement the Risk Based Approach when required to prioritize the execution of Test Cases if / Lead daily triage meetings with key stakeholders to categorize, prioritize and facilitate fixing defects.

11.Implement approved department policies, processes, and procedures and monitor adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled manner.


Day-to-day management


12.Implement the day-to-day operations assigned for the Application Management, Development & Digital Solutions department to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.


Supervision


13.Supervise the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area is carried out in an efficient manner and in compliance with the set policies, processes and procedures.


Compliance


14.Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks.




Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience:


- Bachelor’s degree of Computer Engineering/Computer science or its equivalent.


- From 8- 10 years of experience


- 4+ years in the banking sector (experience in banking applications is preferred)


- ISTQB Foundation Certification is preferred.
