The operations excellence (NPW) Engineer role exists to ensure the correct application, ongoing growth, and continuous improvement of Nissan Production Way (NPW) principles across all manufacturing and supporting departments. The position is responsible for making NPW standards a normal part of daily work through clear reporting, full-scale training, regular audits, and active global teamwork. The person in this role is the main contact for global NPW projects, a trainer of methods, an auditor of processes, and a developer of people, all to build a culture that keeps improving on its own. 




Key Responsibilities:




Performance Reporting & Data Management:



  • Consolidate and report key Nissan Production Way KPIs including Design Standard time (DSTR), Plant Health Check (PHC) basic strength, and lead time to local management and overseas stakeholders.



  • Manage and report direct and semi-direct headcount, Supervisor Skills Development (SSD) Audits results and status.



  • Track and report Global Skills and experts’ certifications status, facilitating midterm planning for expert requirements and skill development priorities in alignment with manufacturing and cross-functional departments.




Training, Development & Knowledge Stewardship:



  • Develop, schedule, and deliver NPW training modules (Ex: QC Story, TQM, AOP) for direct, semi-direct, and indirect employees.



  • Translate and cascade NPW standards, bluebooks, and materials to ensure full organizational understanding and application.



  • Utilize the L&D brochure to plan, justify, and secure approvals for necessary department-wide training, coordinating with cost controller for the budget needed.



  • Promote a learning culture by conducting soft skills training and cascading new learnings to the NPW supervisors’ team.




Process Audit, Standards & Policy Development:



  • Conduct regular Management Diagnosis (MD) and SSD audits, developing action plans to expand audit capability among Supervisors.



  • Ensure plant-wide application of NPW standards by reviewing processes and correcting misconceptions.



  • Partner with cost controller and HRBP to develop, update, and administer the employee incentives policy.



  • Maintain and develop GK supervisor boards and related documentation to visual standard.




Cross-Functional & Global Coordination:



  • Act as the primary NPW point of contact for AMIEO region, attending and contributing to global meetings.



  • Ensure smooth execution of agendas for regional NPW visitors and facilitate best practice sharing.



  • Manage the NPW annual contract renewal process.




Who We’re Looking for:



  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, or relevant



  • 3-4 years of experience in a manufacturing continuous improvement environment.



  • Self-motivated for learning and seeking knowledge must be a self-motivated learner committed to becoming the plant’s knowledge hub for production standards.



  • Exceptional public speaking and training facilitation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts for diverse audiences.



  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills; must possess a helpful, engaging persona to effectively coach, support, and advocate for NPW principles.



  • High integrity and courage to speak up and correct deviations from standard methodologies.



  • Demonstrated ability to develop others, enhance team skills, and carry shopfloor initiatives through subordinate teams.



  • Proficiency in data analysis, KPI management, and report generation.



  • Fluency in English and Arabic.
