The Job in a Nutshell???? We are seeking a strategic and operational leader to become our People Operations Lead.
This role is the cornerstone of our HR function in Egypt, responsible for ensuring seamless, accurate, and compliant people operations while directly managing and developing the People Ops team.
You will own the entire employee lifecycle, oversee complex payroll and benefits administration, serve as the ultimate authority on legal compliance, and drive continuous improvement across all processes.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader, a master of HR systems and local regulations, and a trusted partner who can manage a team while building a scalable, efficient function.
What Will You Do❓ 1.
Team Leadership & Operational Ownership: Directly manage, mentor, and develop the People Operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, accuracy, and exceptional service.
Own the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of all core people operational processes for the Egypt entity.
Act as the primary escalation point and final authority for complex employee relations inquiries, payroll discrepancies, and benefits issues.
Ensure the team delivers a flawless and consistent employee experience across the entire lifecycle.
2. Payroll, Benefits & HRIS Governance: Hold ultimate accountability for the accuracy and timely delivery of monthly payroll, overseeing all inputs, reconciliations, and disbursements in partnership with Finance.
Strategically manage and optimize the employee benefits portfolio, with deep expertise in Medical Insurance policy negotiation, renewal, cost management, and complex claim resolutions.
Govern the HR Information System (HRIS); define data integrity standards, oversee system configuration, and leverage analytics to create dashboards and insights for leadership decision-making.
3. Compliance, Legal Assurance & Government Relations: Guarantee 100% compliance with all Egyptian labor laws, social insurance regulations, and data protection requirements.
Proactively monitor the legal landscape and implement necessary changes.
Serve as the company’s primary representative and liaison with all government bodies (Labor Office, Social Insurance Authority, etc.
), managing audits, inspections, and formal submissions.
Establish and maintain a robust framework for compliance record-keeping and internal audits.
4. Process Strategy & Functional Scalability: Diagnose operational bottlenecks and lead projects to redesign, automate, and scale people processes to support business growth.
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policy updates for the Egypt employee handbook.
Collaborate with the Global People team to align local operations with group-wide initiatives and standards.
What Are We Looking For❓ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
6+ years of proven experience in HR/People Operations, with at least 2 years in a direct team leadership or management role.
Expert, hands-on knowledge of Egyptian labor law, mandatory social insurance schemes, payroll processing, and government liaison protocols.
Proven experience in managing complex employee benefits, specifically medical insurance policies and vendor relationships.
High proficiency as an administrator and super-user of HRIS platforms; advanced analytical skills in Excel/Google Sheets.
Demonstrated success in improving, documenting, and scaling operational HR processes.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach a team and influence stakeholders.

Who Will Excel❓ Experience building and scaling the people operations function in a fast-paced startup or scale-up environment.
Professional HR certification (e.

Experience supporting international teams or managing multi-country compliance is a plus.
