Job Scope
The Cost Manager is responsible for planning, controlling, and analyzing all manufacturing and operational costs across the group’s chemical and intermediate industries plants. The role ensures accurate cost allocation, supports pricing decisions, improves cost efficiency, and enhances overall profitability while complying with accounting standards and internal controls.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, monitor, and control product and production costs for chemical and intermediate manufacturing processes.
- Prepare detailed cost sheets, standard costs, and variance analysis (raw materials, labor, overheads).
- Analyze cost drivers and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
- Oversee cost accounting systems and ensure accurate allocation of costs to products, batches, and processes.
- Work closely with Production, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Engineering teams to control manufacturing costs.
- Review bills of materials (BOM), recipes, and production yields to ensure cost accuracy.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, profitability analysis, and management dashboards.
- Support pricing strategies, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards.
- Participate in inventory valuation, physical counts, and reconciliation of variances.
- Lead and develop the cost accounting team.
Bachelor’s degree in commerce.7–10 years of experience in cost accounting or cost management within manufacturing companies (chemical industry experience is a strong advantage).Strong knowledge of manufacturing cost structures, standard costing, and variance analysis.Experience with Oracle and advanced Excel skills.Professional certifications (CMA, CPA) are a plus.
