Job Location:"Kasrawy for the Automobile Industry" Industrial Zone October, Giza, Egypt
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute international sourcing strategies for automotive parts, raw materials, machinery, and services.- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with overseas suppliers to achieve optimal cost, quality, and delivery terms.- Manage supplier contracts, pricing agreements, Incoterms, payment terms, and currency exposure.- Monitor global market trends, supply risks, and geopolitical factors affecting procurement.- Ensure suppliers comply with automotive quality standards and company requirements.- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to align purchasing with technical specifications and production plans.- Oversee international logistics operations, including shipping, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and inland transportation.- Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and port authorities.- Ensure compliance with Egyptian import regulations, customs laws, and documentation requirements.- Optimize logistics routes, lead times, and transportation costs.- Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or disruptions to avoid production downtime.- Manage inventory levels for imported materials in coordination with planning and warehouse teams.- Ensure full compliance with local and international trade regulations, including customs, taxation, and foreign currency requirements.- Prepare and review import documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and HS codes.- Track KPIs related to purchasing performance, logistics costs, delivery reliability, and supplier performance.- Prepare regular reports for management on procurement savings, logistics efficiency, and risk exposure.- Lead and develop the foreign purchasing and logistics team.- Coordinate closely with finance, production, planning, and quality departments.- Support audits and inspections related to imports, customs, and supply chain activities.
Qualifications & Experience:- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.- 10-12 years of experience in foreign purchasing and international logistics, preferably in automotive or manufacturing industries.- Strong knowledge of international trade, Incoterms, customs clearance, Nafeza and Egyptian import regulations.- Proven experience negotiating with global suppliers and managing long-term contracts.- Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP or similar).- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.- Excellent understanding of automotive supply chains and just-in-time manufacturing environments.- Analytical mindset with strong cost control and problem-solving abilities.- Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities under tight deadlines.- Excellent communication and leadership skills.- Fluency in English is required; Arabic is a strong advantage. Additional languages are a plus.
