Role Purpose The Software Product Development Manager is responsible for end-to-end technical delivery and evolution of the IP-based software products , ensuring scalable, secure, and high-quality platforms that align with the product roadmap and market needs.
This role serves as the technical execution bridge between product strategy and engineering delivery , balancing roadmap commitments with real-world project and customer requirements — while protecting the long-term integrity of the product.
Key Responsibilities 1.
Product Engineering Leadership Own technical delivery of all IP product development initiatives.
Ensure product architectures are scalable, modular, secure, and maintainable.
Lead engineering teams to deliver roadmap features with high quality and predictable cadence.
2. Roadmap Execution & Orchestration Translate product roadmap and priorities into actionable technical plans.
Coordinate closely with Product Managers and Product Owners to sequence features and releases.
Balance roadmap delivery with project-driven customizations while avoiding product fragmentation.
3. Engineering Team Enablement Lead, coach, and scale product-focused engineering teams.
Promote a strong engineering culture centered on quality, ownership, and innovation.
Ensure teams operate efficiently using Agile / DevOps best practices.
4. Product Quality & Reliability Own product code quality, performance, security, and technical debt management.
Ensure automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and release governance are in place.
Reduce regressions and production incidents through preventive engineering practices.
5. Build for Reuse & Productization Ensure features developed for projects are evaluated for reuse and product inclusion.
Enforce modularity and configuration-based customization rather than one-off code.
Collaborate with Business Operations and CoE to productize successful capabilities.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination Work with Business Operations to assess feasibility of customer-driven product enhancements.
Support Sales and Presales with technical product insights and roadmap clarity.
Coordinate with Managed Services to ensure smooth transition from development to operations.
7. Delivery Governance & Risk Management Identify technical risks related to roadmap delivery, scalability, or performance.
Ensure alignment with company technology standards and security policies.
Provide transparent delivery status and risk reporting to the Technology Director.
8. Continuous Improvement & Innovation Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, tooling, and productivity.
Leverage AI, automation, and emerging technologies to accelerate product delivery.
Keep product technology stack current and competitive.
