The Lab Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of laboratory facilities and all laboratory branches. The role ensures efficient workflow, compliance with quality standards, optimal resource utilization, and high levels of service quality across all laboratory sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily laboratory operations across all branches to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
Manage and monitor laboratory performance, turnaround time (TAT), productivity, and service quality.
Ensure compliance with national and international laboratory standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, CAP, JCI, MOH requirements).
Supervise laboratory managers, supervisors, and technical staff across all branches.
Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Coordinate with Quality Assurance to maintain quality control, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Manage laboratory equipment, maintenance schedules, calibration, and procurement.
Control operational costs and optimize resource utilization while maintaining service quality.
Collaborate with Medical, IT, HR, and Supply Chain departments to ensure smooth operations.
Handle operational issues, escalations, and problem resolution across laboratory branches.
Support the opening of new laboratory branches and expansion projects.
Prepare and present operational reports, KPIs, and performance analysis to senior management.
Ensure staff compliance with safety, infection control, and biohazard regulations.
