Scope:
Lead the development and enforcement of a chemical management and exposure control program aligned with local regulations, while supervising contractors and site activities to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective execution of EHS and administrative operations, and drive continuous improvement through GPS within the EHS Department.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
Conduct occupational hygiene assessments, including ergonomics, chemical agents, and hearing conservation.
Perform risk assessments for chemical and noise exposure and implement control measures.
Manage air sampling, noise monitoring, and chemical risk assessment activities.
Ensure appropriate safety signage is in place and deliver PPE Personal Protective Equipment) and RPE (Respiratory Protective Equipment) training.
Conduct ergonomic and workplace environment assessments and provide related training.
Assess risks to employees’ mental well‑being, implement interventions, and evaluate effectiveness.
Identify training needs, deliver programs, and assess their effectiveness.
Support internal EHS and Quality audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
Participate in the site’s Steering Committee to improve Health, Safety & Environmental practices.
Track and maintain EHS projects, documentation, policies, and regulatory compliance.
Respond to adverse events, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Maintain chemical MSDS ((Material Safety Data Sheets) files and inventory, including hazard summaries.
Monitor sickness absence data, identify trends, and take action to reduce health‑related impacts.
Quality Management System (QMS)
Develop SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) for all EHS programs related to health and safety to comply with GQMPs, GQPs, EHS Standards, local and international regulatory bodies.
Maintaining Quality Work Flow (QWF) and representing in EHS department.
Perform duties in a compliant manner and behave in accordance with our Quality Management System requirements.
Participate fully in our site’s quality initiatives and ensure that all relevant quality standards are adhered to.
Read and understand relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Global Quality applicable to role.
Management Policies relevant to your job role.
Attend training and complete assessments as required.
Accountability
Overall accountability and authority on Health Officer/Site Nurse tasks and activities.
Provision of Personal Protective Equipment to Employee & contractors.
Recommend hierarchy of controls or containment solutions to protect employees from Chemicals, Ergonomics, Noise, Health and Safety risks .
Accountable for individually identified risks and escalate to the line manager, where applicable develop risk mitigation plan and monitor the implementation plan.
Quality Management System (QMS) in EHS department, tracking and closing QMS related actions.
Develop and Maintain Occupational Hygiene improvement plan through utilizing GPS Tools.
Attend Regional Meetings and Above site reporting.

Basic Qualifications:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
Bachelor's Degree or MSc Degree in Occupational Health Sciences, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering, Physician or other science related field.
Membership in a professional organization (AIHA) preferred.
Certification/Registration in IH (CIH) preferred.
At least 2 or 3 years of experience in the relevant area.
Previous people management experience.
Capabilities:
Computer literacy.
Proven evidence of being able to work with cross-functional teams.
Fluency in written & spoken English and Arabic / Good overall communication skills.
Ability to identify opportunities to improve current system.
Excellent decision making skill.
