What you'll be doing
As a Field Service Technician, you will be the first technical point of contact for our customers, diagnosing and resolving faults promptly. Your main focus will be on providing day-to-day service, routine maintenance, and installations of our forecourt fueling equipment. You will travel to various sites to deliver hands-on support, ensuring customer satisfaction, compliance with health and safety policies and meeting Service Level Agreements.
Key elements of the role include:
Technical Service and Support
- Provide on-site technical support and maintenance for GVR equipment.
- Diagnose and efficiently resolve faults, aiming for a high first-time fix rate.
- Support GVR partners and collaborate with internal teams to deliver smooth service.
- Travel to customer locations using a company vehicle.
Health, Safety, and Compliance
- Fully adhere to GVR’s Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) policies.
- Maintain housekeeping standards across all project sites and company assets.
- Ensure 100% compliance with safety procedures and company requirements.
Parts and Warehouse Management
- Manage spare parts inventory and take responsibility for warehouse organisation.
- Track maintenance activities clearly, distinguishing between in-scope and out-scope work.

Reporting and Communication
- Complete and submit all necessary paperwork and audits accurately and on time.
- Provide timely feedback and updates to the technical support desk.
- Communicate clearly and efficiently with customers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
What we're looking for
Qualifications and Experience
- Electrical or mechanical technician diploma.
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a technical/mechanical service-based role, with forecourt maintenance experience being advantageous.
- A full, valid driving license is essential.
Technical and Personal Skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities with logical thinking.
- Excellent Customer Service.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Reliable, accurate, and efficient in completing tasks.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Punctuality and a professional attitude at all times.
