Job Description
Role Summary
We are looking for a Senior Sales Representative with a hunter mentality to drive new business across the logistics ecosystem in Egypt and selected African markets. This role is highly field-driven and relationship-driven, focused on finding leads, opening doors, visiting ports and logistics sites, attending events, and converting conversations into pilots and deals.
What You Will Be Responsible For
Lead Hunting, Field Sales, and New Business Acquisition
• Actively prospect and open new accounts across business and government entities using LinkedIn, direct outreach, referrals, site visits, and events.
• Book meetings with senior stakeholders and decision makers and build and manage your own pipeline from discovery to deal closure.
• Visit ports, customs areas, warehouses, yards, and logistics hubs regularly, running on-site meetings, demonstrations, pilots, and trials.
• Coordinate pilot deployments and push conversion into paid contracts.
Selling Logistics Digitization Solutions
• Sell information technology and digitization solutions to the logistics sector.
• Translate operational problems into value-based use cases.
• Support pilots, return-on-investment discussions, and commercial negotiations.
Business-to-Business, Government Sales, and Market Presence
• Support and participate in government and enterprise sales cycles, including tenders, requests for quotation, and site evaluations.
• Engage stakeholders across operations, security, technology, procurement, and finance.
• Identify and attend relevant industry events, roadshows, and partner activities, using events as lead-generation engines and following up aggressively to convert meetings into qualified opportunities.
Qualifications
Required Experience
- Proven business-to-business and government sales experience
- Strong exposure to the logistics ecosystem, including freight forwarders, ports, customs, shipping, or inland logistics
- Demonstrated ability to hunt for leads, open doors, and build accounts from zero
- Experience selling information technology or digitization solutions into logistics or infrastructure sectors
- Comfortable with frequent field work and travel
Profile We Are Looking For
- Four or more years of professional sales experience in logistics or related sectors
- Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
- Self-driven, resilient, and comfortable working without constant supervision
- Able to operate both online (outreach, research) and offline (site visits, meetings)
- Results-focused with a strong sense of ownership
Language and Mobility
- Excellent professional English is required French is a strong advantage
- Willingness to travel frequently across Egypt and potentially Africa
