Role Overview
The Content Creator will lead the production of organic and paid social content, primarily for Instagram, creating scroll-stopping short-form assets while maintaining a premium brand aesthetic. This is a hands-on creative role responsible for producing content end to end, from concept and filming to editing, captions, and text overlays.
The role involves working with both self-produced footage and raw assets provided by the team, receiving shipped product samples for content creation, and participating in occasional in-person shoots at the New York office or partner retail locations.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation
Produce approximately 12–16 Instagram Reels and 8–12 static posts or carousels per month
Maintain a 75% organic and 25% paid social content mix
Create UGC-style, product-focused, and lifestyle content aligned with the brand’s voice and positioning
Filming & Production
Film original content remotely using shipped product samples
Participate in occasional in-person shoots at the NYC office or partner retail locations
Capture clean, well-lit product shots, close-ups, hands-on footage, and POV content
Editing & Optimization
Edit raw footage into polished, brand-aligned creative assets
Create multiple paid social variants, including hooks, captions, overlays, and CTAs
Optimize content for performance while maintaining a premium aesthetic
Copy & Captions
Trends & Performance
Stay current with Instagram trends, audio, and formats
Apply trends thoughtfully in a way that aligns with a fine jewelry brand
Use performance insights to iterate and improve future content
Qualifications
Experience
4+ years of experience creating Instagram content for organic and paid social
Proven ability to produce short-form content that drives engagement and/or conversions
Experience working with product-based brands, preferably jewelry, fashion, or beauty
Skills
Strong understanding of Instagram trends, audience behavior, and brand positioning
Ability to conceptualize, film, edit, and publish content end-to-end
Proficiency with editing tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar
Ability to film high-quality vertical video using a personal smartphone or camera
Access to basic lighting and audio equipment
Excellent written communication skills for captions and overlays
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Portfolio, social handles, or content samples required
