The Civil Defense Officer Associate Manager at Hyde Park Developments will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of construction sites and development projects.
This position involves overseeing safety protocols, risk management strategies, and civil defense measures to protect personnel and property.
Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor Safety Management Systems (SMS) in line with local civil defense regulations, international standards, and company policies.
Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
Coordinate emergency response, firefighting, and evacuation plans; organize and lead safety drills and training sessions for staff and site teams.
Collaborate closely with project managers, contractors, consultants, and site teams to promote safety awareness and proactive risk management.
Review, approve, and follow up on safety reports, incident investigations, near-miss reports, and corrective/preventive action plans.
Ensure continuous compliance with updated safety regulations, codes, and civil defense requirements.
Prepare and present periodic safety performance reports, KPIs, and improvement recommendations to senior management.
Support the design and delivery of safety induction programs, toolbox talks, and specialized safety training.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including civil defense authorities, regulatory bodies, and emergency services, to ensure effective coordination during inspections and emergency situations.
Act as the Civil Defense Manager’s delegate when required and support strategic safety initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical / Electrical / Civil) 8–12 years of experience in Civil Defense / Fire & Safety roles.
Real estate or construction experience is a must.
Proven experience dealing with government authorities
