The Senior Civil Defense Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all safety and security measures within construction projects are implemented according to local regulations and international standards.
This role encompasses the assessment, design, and oversight of firefighting and life safety systems to guarantee the highest levels of safety for both personnel and property.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments related to fire safety and emergency response for projects.
Design and prepare technical specifications for civil defense systems including fire protection systems, sprinklers, alarms, and emergency exits.
Oversee the installation and testing of fire detection and suppression systems to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Serve as a liaison with local fire authorities for inspections, permits, and compliance evaluations.
Review and approve infrastructure designs to integrate safety and emergency management protocols effectively.
Train project teams on safety compliance and civil defense protocols.
Monitor ongoing construction activities to ensure safety measures are consistently applied on-site.
Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to civil defense projects for stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil defense, fire safety engineering, or a related role.
Comprehensive knowledge of local fire safety regulations and standards.
Experience in designing and implementing fire protection systems.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and regulatory bodies.
Certifications in fire safety or civil defense are a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
