- Evaluate and compare mechanical subcontractor prices with estimation benchmarks, negotiate best rates, and prepare subcontract agreements.
- Issue advance payment certificates with approved cost sheets and secure management approval.
- Review mechanical quantities (HVAC, plumbing, firefighting) before contracting and issuing purchase orders in coordination with Technical and site teams.
- Prepare and obtain approval for the mechanical procurement schedule and ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Verify purchase order quantities against approved shop drawings and apply appropriate waste factors based on market availability.
- Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to resolve discrepancies in work valuations and invoicing.
- Monitor weekly procurement updates to ensure payments to mechanical subcontractors and suppliers remain on track.
- Prepare valuations and price breakdowns for mechanical variation orders and support submissions to clients/consultants.
- Provide cost impacts of mechanical claims, including overhead changes, material price escalation, financing, and currency fluctuations.
- Review mechanical subcontractors’ final invoices, confirm quantities and deductions, and finalize project cost calculations.
Mechanical bachelor's degree.Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in a procurement role (Fit out projects is a must).Giza residents are preferred.
