An experienced Site Manager responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) construction activities at site. The candidate should have a strong background in OHTL projects, including tower erection, stringing, and commissioning, and be capable of leading site teams to ensure quality, safety, and timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise all on-site activities related to OHTL construction, including tower foundation, erection, stringing, and final testing.
- Coordinate daily with project engineers, subcontractors, and workers to ensure smooth execution of site works.
- Ensure adherence to project specifications, engineering drawings, and safety regulations.
- Plan and manage site resources (labor, equipment, materials) effectively.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and enforce site EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) procedures.
- Monitor construction progress and report daily/weekly updates to the Project Manager.
- Identify and resolve site issues and bottlenecks to avoid delays.
- Verify and approve work completed by subcontractors and ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain proper documentation including site diaries, inspection reports, and material records.
- Coordinate with QA/QC and HSE teams to ensure compliance with all quality and safety requirements.
- Liaise with local authorities and stakeholders when required for site-related permits or inspections.
Skills
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering Electricity or civil
- Experience at least 8 Years in OHTL ( Overhead Transmission Lines )
- Strong knowledge of tower foundations, erection techniques, conductor stringing, and line testing.
- Familiarity with national and international safety and construction standards (IEC, IEEE, OSHA, etc.).
- Proven ability to manage teams and subcontractors on-site.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
- Basic proficiency in project reporting tools (MS Office, Excel, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willing to work in remote project sites with extended field presence.
