Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering:

• Engage with maintenance, engineering, and operations teams to understand plant maintenance processes and asset management requirements.
• Document functional requirements, process flows, and gaps between business needs and SAP standard functionality.
• Translate business requirements into SAP PM solutions.

2. SAP PM Configuration & Implementation:

• Configure SAP PM modules including Equipment Master, Functional Location, Preventive Maintenance, Maintenance Orders, Notifications, Work Clearance, and Maintenance Planning.
• Set up maintenance strategies, task lists, maintenance plans, and scheduling parameters.
• Integrate SAP PM with SAP MM (Materials Management), FI/CO (Financials/Controlling), and other relevant modules.
• Support SAP S/4HANA PM implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.

3. Testing & Quality Assurance:

• Prepare and execute Unit Test Scripts, Integration Test Scripts, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Collaborate with technical teams to resolve defects and issues during testing.
• Validate that SAP PM configurations meet business requirements and operational standards.

4. Documentation & Training:

• Prepare functional specifications for reports, interfaces, enhancements, and custom developments.
• Develop training materials and conduct training sessions for maintenance and operations teams.
• Maintain documentation of SAP PM configurations, workflows, and best practices.

5. Support & Continuous Improvement:

• Provide post-implementation support for SAP PM-related issues.
• Identify opportunities to streamline maintenance processes, optimize asset utilization, and improve SAP PM functionalities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and efficient plant maintenance practices.

Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an SAP PM Functional Consultant.
• Strong knowledge of SAP PM module and plant maintenance management processes.
• Experience with SAP configuration, integration, and best practices.
• Proficiency with SAP S/4HANA PM is highly desirable.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with stakeholders and technical teams.
• SAP PM Certification.
• Experience with preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as SAP BW or Analytics Cloud for maintenance reporting.
• Prior experience in large-scale SAP implementations, rollouts, or global projects.
• Knowledge of asset management and industry-specific maintenance standards.
