Site Supervision & Execution
- Supervise daily site activities for road construction, including:
- ✔ Earthworks (cut, fill, grading)
- ✔ Sub-base & base course layers
- ✔ Asphalt paving works
- ✔ Road markings and signage
- ✔ Stormwater drainage and related utilities
- Ensure all works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.
- Monitor workmanship quality and verify compliance with project standards.
2. Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with the technical office for drawings, shop drawings, and technical clarifications.
- Communicate with subcontractors, surveyors, and site teams to ensure accurate execution.
- Attend site meetings with consultants and project management.
3. Quality Control & Safety
- Ensure proper implementation of QA/QC procedures on site.
- Verify materials delivered to site meet project specifications.
- Ensure all operations adhere to Safety & HSE standards.
- Follow up on required site tests (soil compaction tests, asphalt tests, concrete tests, etc.).
4. Planning & Reporting
- Prepare daily and weekly progress reports.
- Track progress against the project schedule and report delays or risks.
- Assist in preparing work schedules and resource plans.
5. Documentation & Technical Support
- Maintain site records including inspection requests (IRs), test reports, and site correspondence.
- Support in preparing as-built drawings.
- Resolve on-site technical issues collaboratively with the engineering team.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 3–6 years experience in road construction and infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of roadwork standards (MOT, AASHTO, ASTM).
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and basic scheduling software (MS Project / Primavera).
- Strong understanding of work sequences and construction methodologies for roads.
- Strong leadership and site management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and reporting skills.
