Job Purpose:
Responsible for the daily operations of the export trade, working closely with the Export Trade Manager to support the achievement of commercial targets and market plans. This role provides expertise in export market assessment, sourcing and approaching potential clients, and plays a key role in MSC’s ongoing dialogue with stakeholders both within and outside the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shippers and consignees to enhance the company’s competitive buying platform and improve market competitiveness.
- Re-engage MSC clients and attract new customers interested in MSC’s services to expand market presence and strengthen business relationships.
- Target new business accounts across export trades by collaborating with commercial teams and global agents.
- Attend industry fairs to attract potential export clients, negotiate production plans, and estimate export volumes.
- Conduct weekly client site visits to promote core and value-added services, strengthen relationships with existing customers, and generate sales leads for potential new clients.
- Identify and analyze market growth opportunities by mapping industries and evaluating factors that influence expansion or decline.
- Assist in forecasting business volume and tracking export trade performance while proactively identifying growth and segmentation opportunities.
- Assist in developing and implementing monthly market strategies focused on rates and services to align the global export strategy with the Egypt region in terms of increasing volume or maximizing profit.
- Provide accurate reports, including updated rates and services of the market, to the Export Trade Manager as required.
- Establish pricing schemes, and negotiate with MSC customers to get optimal prices and close deals. Additionally, review services and develop strategic solutions to target new accounts and unexplored markets.
- Negotiate transit times and POD (Port of Discharge) freight rates with clients and the Head Office to ensure commodities remain in good condition.
- Monitor and improve vessel allocation capacity based on booking forecasts.
- Work closely with the compliance team on special commodities to ensure operational compliance with local and international regulations/laws.
- Handle cross-bookings efficiently by providing information on financial freight rates to other MSC agents in different regions.
- Analyze weekly/monthly data to optimize cargo mix and revenue recovery.
- Prepare monthly commercial and operational forecasts.
- Promote MSC’s ocean freight and inland transportation services to expand market opportunities and increase market coverage.
- Develop and expand key accounts while monitoring and optimizing the performance of key accounts under the Space Guarantee Scheme.
- Enhance collaboration between the customer service team and related departments, such as booking and documentation, to ensure continuous teamwork and deliver an outstanding customer experience, Strengthen engagement with key clients throughtailored solutions and proactive communication.

Education: Bachelor’s degree of a relevant discipline is a must.Language: Proficiency in both written and spoken English.Specialized knowledge: Basic knowledge of Export processes. Ability to use shipping systems. Experience in market mapping and identifying new business opportunities. Proficiency in using CRM systems. Proficiency in presentation skills.
