Job Summary
The Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and management of all company facilities. The role ensures that buildings, systems, and infrastructure operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations. The Facility Manager will lead a team of maintenance and technical staff, manage service contracts, and implement cost-effective maintenance programs to support the company’s operational goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, plan, and oversee all facility maintenance operations, including electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and civil works.
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules to ensure minimal downtime and efficient resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for facility upgrades, repairs, and service contracts.
- Monitor and manage facility budgets, energy consumption, and maintenance costs.
- Prepare regular reports on facility performance, maintenance activities, and improvement plans.
- Lead, train, and supervise facility staff and technicians to maintain high performance and safety standards.
- Support project planning and execution for facility renovations, expansions, and system upgrades.
- Implement energy management strategies to optimize efficiency and sustainability.
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and operational issues.
Skills
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Experience: Minimum of [5–10] years in facility management or maintenance engineering, preferably within construction, real estate, or industrial environments.
- Solid knowledge of electrical systems, safety codes, and energy management best practices.
- Proven experience in project planning, preventive maintenance, and resource coordination.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office and facility management software is a plus.
