Electrical Engineer – Production Line Maintenance (Soft Drinks & Bottled Water Industry)

1. Electrical Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Perform preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on production line equipment (filling machines, conveyors, labeling, blow molding, packaging units, etc.).
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, automation, and control system issues.
  • Ensure the functionality of motors, drives, sensors, and electrical panels.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC and SCADA systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, or similar).
  • Respond promptly to line breakdowns to minimize downtime and production loss.

2. Preventive Maintenance Planning:

  • Participate in the development and execution of preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems.
  • Maintain maintenance logs and records in CMMS software.
  • Ensure periodic calibration and testing of instruments, relays, and safety systems.

3. Equipment Installation & Commissioning:

  • Support in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and production lines.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors during equipment upgrades or modifications.

4. Continuous Improvement:

  • Analyze recurring electrical failures and recommend engineering solutions.
  • Assist in energy-saving initiatives and process automation improvements.
  • Propose and implement innovative maintenance techniques to increase reliability.

5. Safety & Compliance:

  • Ensure all maintenance work is carried out in compliance with safety standards and company policies.
  • Participate in HSE programs, risk assessments, and safety audits.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO and electrical safety regulations.

6. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain updated electrical documentation, layouts, and schematics.
  • Prepare reports on equipment performance, breakdowns, and energy consumption.
  • Support management with data for cost control and maintenance optimization.


Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in electrical maintenance within the soft drinks or bottled water industry.
  • Hands-on experience in production line machinery such as filling, labeling, blow molding, and packaging systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, VFDs, sensors, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with equipment from Krones, Sidel, or similar manufacturers.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical diagrams.
  • Experience with maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
