Operations & Production Management:
- Plan, organize, and manage all factory operations to achieve production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines.
- Develop and monitor production schedules and ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Ensure smooth operations across departments: production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
- Oversee machine performance, output efficiency, and waste reduction.
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
- Ensure products meet required technical specifications and customer expectations.
2. Leadership & Team Management:
- Supervise and lead a team of production supervisors, engineers, and technicians.
- Motivate and train staff to improve productivity, quality, and safety awareness.
- Conduct performance evaluations and ensure effective workforce planning.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
3. Quality Control & Compliance:
- Work closely with the QA/QC department to maintain product quality standards.
- Ensure adherence to ISO standards, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Identify and implement process improvements to reduce defects and increase efficiency.
- Support new product trials, process validation, and customer audits.
4. Cost Control & Resource Optimization:
- Manage operational budgets, control costs, and reduce production waste.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to track factory efficiency and profitability.
- Ensure optimal inventory management of raw materials and finished goods.
- Work with the procurement team to source materials and spare parts efficiently.
5. Strategy & Continuous Improvement:
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen initiatives across all departments.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase production capacity and efficiency.
- Participate in capex planning for new machinery, technology upgrades, and automation projects.
- Ensure data-driven decision-making by implementing accurate reporting and monitoring systems.
6. Health, Safety & Environment (HSE):
- Ensure all operations comply with safety standards and environmental laws.
- Conduct regular safety training and risk assessments for factory personnel.
- Promote a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Production Management.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in plastic manufacturing, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial position.
- Strong knowledge of plastic production processes such as injection molding, blow molding, extrusion, film, or packaging.
- Proven experience managing factory operations, production planning, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.) and Lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and team management abilities.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office tools.
