About the Role

We're looking for a motivated Technical Sales Engineer to serve as the critical link between our complex mechanical products and our clients' technical needs. You'll drive the sale of our utilities and process piping solutions, applying your site experience to design and present tailored solutions. Your expertise will instill confidence in our technical delivery and execution.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Consultation & Solution Design

• Act as the technical expert during the sales cycle, providing in-depth explanations of our products and services related to utilities and process piping.
• Analyze customer technical specifications and requirements, applying your site experience to design and recommend feasible mechanical solutions.
• Apply your knowledge of site supervision, installation, and project handover to accurately scope, cost, and forecast project timelines and execution.
• Prepare and deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to existing and prospective clients.

Sales and Business Development

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities by targeting clients in relevant industrial sectors.
• Collaborate with the commercial sales team to develop and execute strategic sales plans and achieve assigned sales targets.
• Manage the end-to-end sales process, including the preparation of technical proposals, tenders, quotations, and contract negotiations.

Site Knowledge & Communication

• Ensure that technical proposals are grounded in practical site realities, particularly regarding site documentation, quality standards, and installation methods.
• Maintain excellent command of English to communicate effectively and professionally in all business dealings.
• Comfortably and effectively interact with foreign nationals and multinational clients, serving as a knowledgeable company ambassador.
• Utilize AutoCAD proficiency to review technical drawings, specifications, and client-submitted designs.

Skills

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 4 to 5 years of proven experience in technical sales, site engineering, or project management, ideally within industrial equipment, utilities, or process piping.
• Technical Skills: Strong background in mechanical systems, piping codes, and construction documentation (e.g., ITPs, punch lists, handover files).
• Soft Skills: Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
