- Design, configure, and implement Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) systems for MV switchgear and RMU applications.
- Integrate RTUs with SCADA and automation systems according to client and project specifications.
- Prepare wiring diagrams, connection schematics, and all related engineering documentation.
- Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and provide support during commissioning and startup phases.
- Troubleshoot RTU systems in the field and provide effective technical solutions.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure hardware and communication protocol compatibility (e.g., Modbus).
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of communication standards, networking, and automation technologies.
- Participate in technical discussions with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Ensure all work activities comply with project timelines, quality assurance, and safety standards.
- Provide technical support and documentation for project handover and system maintenance.
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, or Telecommunication Engineering.2–4 years of experience in RTU systems design, configuration, and integration for MV switchgear or RMU applications.Familiarity with substation automation, SCADA architecture, and communication network design.Hands-on experience with testing tools, diagnostic software, and communication analyzers is an advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and coordination abilities with cross-functional teams.Willingness to travel to project sites and support field activities when required. Preferred Skills:Experience in telecom interfaces for RTU communication.Familiarity with substation automation, communication protocols, and SCADA architecture.Ability to interpret and work with electrical drawings and specifications.
