Position Overview
The Sales Engineer Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team by bridging the gap between technical aspects and commercial objectives. You'll leverage your engineering expertise to understand customer needs, translate them into technical solutions, and ultimately drive sales growth for the company.
Searches and discovers market opportunities, prospecting promising customers and communicating to arrange for a meeting with decision-makers.Establishes, develops, and maintains positive business and customer relationshipsExpedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfactionCollects all necessary information to evaluate the target customers’ requirements including application technical information, current challenges facing the customer, current supplier from competition, and customer’s financial situation.Provides up-to-date market information such as competition information (products, prices, services, new technology, etc.…), new business opportunities, threats to existing company’s business, etc.…Reaches out to customer leads through calls, and surveys.Negotiates tender and contract terms.Close sales deals successfully through effective negotiation and close follow-up to translate customers’ inquiries into purchase orders.Closely follow up on customers’ payment and collection activities to ensure prompt customer payment and reduce the company’s credit amounts.Promptly and accurately conveying customer complaints to the company for investigation and taking the necessary action.Records and maintains customer contact data.Supports marketing by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing activities.Offers after-sales support services, providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education.Liaises with other members of the sales team and other technical experts.Be prepared to attend customer kick-off meetings as and when required.Conducts technical sales presentations to customers as and when necessary, showing how our products meet their needs.Documents key findings, progress, insights, and pipeline velocity in CRM.Meets the required Key Performance Indicators.Use your technical acumen to provide solution-based sales.Provide appropriate and timely reporting of activity and achievements to various levels of management, as required.
