Trucking Operations Team Leader | Port Said Port
A leading container transport company is seeking a Trucking Operations Team Leader to oversee daily trucking activities related to port clearance operations. This role is about coordinating truck movements, supporting smooth container clearance, and guiding drivers to ensure timely deliveries from ports to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily truck allocation and dispatch for port clearance operations.
- Track trips and follow up on deliveries to ensure on-time container clearance.
- Coordinate closely with customer service and clearance teams to align trucking schedules with customer needs.
- Monitor drivers’ performance and provide guidance on compliance and operational discipline.
- Support the implementation of routing strategies and operational efficiency improvements.
- Handle trip-related documentation and ensure compliance with transport and clearance regulations.
- Act as the first escalation point for operational issues related to trucking.
What We’re Looking For7+ years of experience in transport or trucking operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/team leader role.Port Said Resident Solid understanding of port clearance trucking operations.Strong coordination, planning, and problem-solving skills.Hands-on experience with GPS/tracking systems and basic transport KPIs.Ability to lead, support, and motivate a team of drivers.Strong communication skills to work effectively with clearance and operations teams.
