Demand & Supply Planning Manager

We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Demand Supply Planning Manager with a minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management. The ideal candidate will have direct, proven expertise within the dynamic and fast-paced consumer electronics industry. This senior leadership position is a critical link between our commercial goals and operational capabilities. The role requires a visionary leader to orchestrate the end-to-end supply chain, ensuring product availability meets market demand while optimizing inventory levels and driving profitability. The successful candidate must possess a proven track record of developing robust systems and processes, and navigating complex market conditions, including inflationary periods, to safeguard the company's financial health.   

 

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the planning department and lead a team of forecasters and analysts. Serve as a mentor and coach to develop team members into proficient professionals in demand, material requirement, and replenishment planning.   

Demand & Supply Forecasting: Own the end-to-end demand and supply planning cycle. Develop, maintain, and execute an effective forecast model based on sales history, market demand, and promotional strategies.   

Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP): Successfully manage and execute the monthly S&OP process to align various business units on a unified operational plan.   

Inventory Management: Ensure optimal product availability at the right quantity and time to meet demand while controlling costs. Manage the phase-in and phase-out process for new products and identify and deplete slow-moving or obsolete items.   

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work proactively and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including Purchasing, Warehousing, Finance, Sales, and Marketing, to ensure cohesive plans.   

Vendor Management: Collaborate closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure a steady and timely flow of materials and products.   

Financial Acumen: Contribute directly to achieving top-line sales and bottom-line profitability. Control inventory value and participate in cost-reduction initiatives.   

 

 

 

 

 


Required Qualifications & Experience Experience: A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Management, with a significant portion of this experience focused on Demand and Supply Planning.   Industry Expertise: Direct, demonstrable experience in the consumer electronics sector.   Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.   Technical Skills: Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel. A strong understanding of statistical forecasting methodologies and data analytics.   Professional Competencies: Exceptional team leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities. Excellent communication skills for promoting intra- and intercompany collaboration.
