Duties and Responsibilities:
• Implement occupational safety and health policies and procedures on-site.
• Express opinions and participate in conducting hazard assessments and risk assessments in the work environment.
• Participate in analyzing the causes of accidents and making recommendations to prevent their recurrence.
• Monitor compliance with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Prepare periodic reports on accidents, injuries, and alerts.
• Issue safety warnings regarding accidents and injuries.
• Participate in emergency plans and conduct evacuation drills.
• Provide awareness and ongoing training to employees on safety procedures.
• Coordinate with government agencies to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Follow up on internal and external inspections and address observations.
• Ensure the safety of equipment, machinery, and working conditions.
• Hold safety meetings and follow up on the implementation of the meeting agenda.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science
Professional Certifications:
• OSHA Occupational Safety and Health.
• Occupational Safety and Health Specialist (valid and accredited)
• NEBOSH International Diploma or General Certificate (preferred)
• ISO 45001 Occupational Safety and Health Management System (preferably as an internal auditor)
• First Aid or Firefighting Certification
Working Experience:
At least one year of experience in the field of occupational safety and health.
Experience in an industrial or production environment is a plus (preferred).
Interpersonal Skills:
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
• Strong analytical skills for risk assessment.
• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions.
• Proficiency in using computers and reporting programs such as Excel and PowerPoint.
