Overview:
The Head of HR Shared Services MEA is a critical leadership role responsible for establishing and managing HR services for the MEA region. The successful candidate will be accountable for establishing, overseeing and optimizing all areas of the employee lifecycle, including but not limited to onboarding, payroll, benefits and mobility administration for all the manufacturing plants and sales organizations in multiple countries in MEA, starting with Egypt as HR Shared Services hub. The role requires an ability to manage a sizable team, develop scalable HR services, streamline processes, enhance data quality and consistency, and deliver an exceptional employee experience in Egypt and MEA.
In addition to managing the HR Shared Services team, the successful candidate will also provide thought leadership and collaborate with the global COE and local HR teams to standardize local compensation and benefits design, local policies, and labor practices.

- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute the strategic vision for the HR Shared Services function aligned with the overall HR and organizational goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery, streamline processes, and optimize operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior leaders to understand business needs and ensure HR Shared Services align with organizational objectives.
- HR Service Delivery:
- Oversee end-to-end HR service delivery, including but not limited to employee onboarding, benefits administration, HR data management, payroll and personnel processing, employee inquiries, global mobility, HR policy interpretation, recruiting and training.
- Establish and monitor service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure service quality, timeliness, and compliance.
- Implement best practices to enhance employee experience and ensure consistent delivery of HR services across the organization.
- Local Policy and HR Practice Harmonization:
- Continuously review and improve HR processes and policies to enhance service quality, accurate guidance and cost control.
- Collaborate with global COE, regional and local HR to harmonize HR employee lifecycle areas, local policies and labor practices.
- Process Optimization and Technology:
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within the HR Shared Services function.
- Evaluate and implement HR systems and technologies to enhance operational efficiency, data accuracy, and self-service capabilities.
- Collaborate with HR, IT and other stakeholders to ensure effective integration and maintenance of HR systems.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with local and regional labor laws and regulations, ensuring HR practices comply with all applicable legal requirements.
- Develop and implement controls and procedures to mitigate operational and compliance risks within HR Shared Services and the country of operation.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, evolving best practices and recommending proactive measures to address emerging challenges.
University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience in a leadership role within HR Shared Services, preferably in a large multinational organizations including factories.In-depth understanding of Egypt and MEA employment laws, regulations, and data privacy requirements.Strong knowledge of HR processes, including employee lifecycle management, benefits administration, payroll, personnel and HRIS.Demonstrated experience in process improvement, automation, and implementation of HR systems.Proven experience in HR management (COE experience a plus).Exceptional leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams in multinational environments.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.Proactive mindset, with the ability to drive change, manage ambiguity, and adapt to a dynamic business environment.Service-oriented, problem-solving and convincing character with a resilient personality.Excellent English language skills; Arabic and/or Mandarin a plus.
