• Supervise and coordinate all kitchen activities and food preparation
• Create and regularly update a menu that suits a casual dining experience while staying current with food trends
• Ensure dishes are prepared consistently and served in a timely manner
• Train, schedule, and manage kitchen team members, promoting a positive work environment
• Monitor food cost, portion control, and kitchen inventory to maintain profitability
• Ensure proper food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in compliance with health regulations
• Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth service flow
• Manage vendor relationships and order supplies as needed
• Control waste and optimize kitchen operations to reduce overhead
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of culinary experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or head chef role
• Experience in casual or high-volume dining preferred
• Culinary diploma or relevant certification is a plus
• Strong skills in kitchen management, food costing, and inventory control
• Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills
• HACCP or Food Safety Certification required
• Ability to handle high-pressure environments and maintain quality
