Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Agriculture Engineer s with a primary focus on herbs farming. have a strong background in agricultural engineering, sustainable farming practices, and crop management. Fluency in English is required for documentation, training, and communication with international partners and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
Crop & Soil Management
- Develop, implement, and monitor crop plans and schedules for herb cultivation.
- Conduct detailed soil and nutrient analysis to recommend appropriate soil treatments.
- Evaluate and optimize seeding, transplanting, and harvesting techniques to improve yield and quality.
Irrigation & Fertigation
- Design and manage irrigation systems suitable for herbs and local climatic conditions.
- Oversee fertigation programs and ensure efficient use of resources.
Pest, Disease, and Weed Control
- Monitor crop health and implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies.
- Coordinate timely interventions for disease or pest outbreaks with minimal environmental impact.
Reporting & Communication
Maintain accurate records of production, field activities, and crop inputs.
Prepare reports and documentation in English for internal use and external stakeholders.
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure adherence to local agricultural laws, organic certifications, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with QA/QC teams to maintain consistency in product standards.
Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, or related field.Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience in commercial agriculture, with a strong preference for herbs farming.Strong understanding of irrigation systems, crop science, and organic/agroecological practices.Excellent communication and technical writing skills in English.Preferred Experience:Prior work with medicinal or culinary herbsExperience working on export-oriented farms or with international certifications (GlobalG.A.P., Organic, etc.).Knowledge of post-harvest handling and cold chain management for herbs.
