Job Summary: The Chief Financial Officer is accountable for the financial, and risk management operations of the company and will participate in the development of a financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to that strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. He will manage the accounting operations of the company and produce periodic financial reports, maintain adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Management:

·        Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans

·        Develop financial and tax strategies

·        Manage the capital structure and budgeting processes

·        Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction

·        Manage the accounting, investor relations, legal, tax, and treasury departments

·        Oversee the operations of the accounting department, including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department's goals and objectives

·        Develop, review, and update policies & procedures of the department

Transactions:

·        Arrange for financing of the projects

·        Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner

·        Ensure filing of income tax and other taxes returns to the relevant authorities and follow up to complete the assessment

·        Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable

·        Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly

·        Process payroll in a timely manner

·        Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed

·        Ensure that required debt obligations are met on a timely basis

·        Maintain the chart of accounts

·        Maintain an orderly accounting filing system

·        Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions

Reporting:

·        Issue timely and complete financial statements.

·        Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.

·        Recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.

·        Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics.

·        Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts.

·        Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management.

·        Provide financial analyses as needed,

Skills

Candidate Profile:

·        Required CPA//CFA / CMA / MBA / Master degree in Finance

·        Requirement open for Egyptian nationals in Egypt

·        15 years of experience with at least 5 years' experience in leading the finance team in finance / real estate / banking in Egypt

·        Prior experience in the Real Estate Industry & Previous External Audit experience with one of the big four firms is preferable
