Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers in the construction sector to understand manpower requirements and hiring priorities.
  • Develop tailored recruitment strategies to address project-based hiring needs and long-term workforce planning.
  • Gather detailed job specifications and selection criteria specific to construction roles, including technical and on-site positions.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of the skills, experience, and certifications required for each role.
  • Post job openings on industry-specific job boards, company websites, and professional networks.
  • Work with the Digital Marketing team to develop targeted job post announcements and employer branding content tailored to the construction sector.
  • Identify and source candidates through various channels, including LinkedIn, trade associations, and construction recruitment agencies.
  • Conduct online assessments and phone interviews to evaluate technical expertise and project experience.
  • Organize and attend job fairs, trade shows, and industry networking events to build a pipeline of skilled construction professionals.
  • Develop relationships with universities and technical institutions to attract emerging talent.
  • Conduct structured interviews using Competency-Based Interviewing (CBI) techniques tailored for construction professionals.
  • Ensure candidates meet project-specific requirements, including safety certifications and regulatory compliance.
  • Negotiate and extend competitive job offers, clearly communicating employment terms, benefits, and project assignments.
  • Work closely with the Onboarding and Development (OD) team to ensure smooth integration of new hires into construction projects.
  • Provide regular updates to the Head of Talent Acquisition on recruitment challenges and opportunities for process improvements.
  • Prepare analytical reports on employee turnover and hiring trends in the construction industry.
  • Track the performance of new hires during their probationary period and collect feedback from Hiring Managers.
  • Identify training needs and career development opportunities to support workforce retention.
  • Maintain accurate recruitment records, ensuring compliance with labor laws and industry regulations.
  • Ensure all new hires meet health, safety, and licensing requirements for construction roles.

Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field.Minimum of 4 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, specifically within the construction industry.Demonstrated expertise in hiring for technical and on-site construction roles.Strong knowledge of industry-specific hiring challenges, labor regulations, and workforce planning.Experience conducting Competency-Based Interviews (CBI) and assessing technical skills.Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities to navigate complex hiring scenarios.Strong networking skills with industry professionals, trade schools, and recruitment agencies.
