1.Third-Party Relationship Management:
Establish, develop, and maintain strong relationships with co-manufacturers to ensure high levels of collaboration, performance, and accountability.
2.Production Oversight:
Coordinate with co-man partners to manage production schedules, capacity planning, and on-time delivery. Troubleshoot production issues and escalate where necessary.
3.Quality & Compliance:
Ensure that all products manufactured by third parties meet food safety, regulatory, and quality standards. Partner with QA/QC teams for audits, inspections, and continuous improvement.
4.Contract & Cost Management:
Negotiate and manage co-manufacturing agreements, monitor cost structures, and identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality or service.
5.New Product Commercialization:
Work cross-functionally with R&D, Marketing, and Supply Chain to successfully launch new products through external partners, including trials, scale-ups, and first production runs.
6.Performance Tracking:
Develop KPIs and scorecards to track co-manufacturer performance related to service, quality, efficiency, and compliance. Lead regular business reviews.
7.Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements across the co-man network to drive operational excellence and reduce waste.
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in operations or supply chain, preferably within the food or beverage industry.Proven experience working with third-party manufacturers or co-packers.Strong understanding of food manufacturing processes, quality standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF, etc.), and regulatory requirements (FDA, USDA, etc.).Excellent project management, communication, and negotiation skills.lived in Alex or have the ability to relocate
