Role Overview:
The Yeast Consultant will provide expert guidance and hands-on support in optimizing yeast production processes, improving product quality, and ensuring engineering and quality systems are aligned with industry best practices. The ideal candidate must have a strong engineering background with a deep understanding of yeast technology, fermentation processes, and industrial standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and optimize yeast production processes for efficiency and consistency
- Advise on engineering improvements related to equipment, utilities, and plant layout
- Support quality assurance and control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards
- Troubleshoot production or quality challenges and recommend effective solutions
- Train and mentor internal teams on best practices in yeast manufacturing
- Contribute to the development of new yeast-based products or enhancements
- Provide technical documentation and reports based on findings and recommendations
Skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Bioprocess, or related field)
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the yeast industry across production, engineering, and quality domains
- Strong understanding of fermentation technology and microbiological controls
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and other quality systems relevant to yeast manufacturing
- Proven record of delivering operational improvements and technical support
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Consultancy or advisory experience is a plus
