Head of the Physical Health Department

Participating in the preparation and implementation of the institution’s comprehensive healthcare plan.

Developing a treatment plan for all cases in coordination with all departments concerned with the child.

Monitoring and examining chronic and emergency medical cases in all specialties, managing them, or referring them to external medical centers if necessary throughout the day.

Being available at any time of the day for emergencies and making decisions on how to handle the case within the institution by the medical supervision team until it is handled by the institution’s doctors or referred to an external emergency entity.

Identifying external entities to be approached if an external medical examination is required for the child.

Determining the means of transportation used to reach external entities.

Coordinating appointment schedules for children's visits to any external entity and doctors’ appointments, and following up in external medical centers.

Monitoring the work of external doctors from medical entities and visiting doctors in medical convoys at the institution and ensuring they fulfill their duties with the children.

Coordinating work and follow-up with doctors in joint specialties with other departments (joint specialties: speech therapy, audiology, psychiatry, conducting various psychological tests at governmental entities for the educational administration).

Creating any documents or reports related to the physical health department.

Creating a medical file for each child at the institution, updating medical records annually, and working to complete any missing information.

Reviewing any medication or medical procedure before being administered to the children daily and weekly.

Preparing a list of required medications for the children and requesting them from external pharmacies (monthly and daily).

Representing the institution in external meetings and with external doctors regarding physical health to coordinate and network with external entities.

Preparing and writing daily medical examination reports for any case (internal or external) to be attached to the medical file of the case.

Writing quarterly reports for each child to be attached to their file in the physical health department, the residency department, and the case management department, and ensuring timely delivery of the reports.

Preparing and updating the medical regulations for physical health in the institution.

Conducting awareness seminars for children at the institution regarding physical health.

Scheduling the visits of the psychological doctor to the institution and communicating with her via phone during her absence in emergency cases.


Educational Background:Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Nursing, or a related healthcare field (Pediatrics or Family Medicine preferred).Valid medical or nursing license from the relevant regulatory authority.Professional Experience:Minimum of 9-10 years of experience in clinical practice, preferably in pediatric or institutional care settings.Previous experience working with girls who are children or in child-focused organizations is highly desirable.Experience coordinating with multiple departments or external healthcare providers.Technical Skills:Strong knowledge of diagnosing and managing both chronic and emergency medical cases.Familiarity with creating and managing medical records.Ability to review and approve medical prescriptions and procedures.Proficient in using health information systems and Microsoft Office (especially Word and Excel).Interpersonal & Soft Skills:Strong communication and coordination skills for dealing with children, families, medical professionals, and institutional staff.High emotional intelligence and patience when dealing with children, with a sensitivity regarding the different backgrounds of the kids.Organizational and time-management skills to coordinate multiple cases and appointments.Additional Requirements:Ability to respond to emergency situations outside of regular working hours.Willingness to conduct health awareness seminars and training.Ability to work independently and make critical decisions regarding patient care.Language Skills:Proficiency in Arabic is required.English language skills are a plus.
