Job Purpose:
- The Egypt Makes Electronics (EME) aims to foster and develop the electronics industry (design and manufacturing) in Egypt. It establishes projects and offers services and incentives to embrace eco-system with the objective of bringing value to Egyptian Electronics Industry by stimulating new investment, fostering R&D-based for innovative electronics products and components, developing the capacity of human resources (Technical and Management), enabling electronics design houses and encouraging exports that put Egypt as the leading regional hub for Electronics Industry.
- The Operation Engineer of Electronics Innovation Labs oversees the different operation activities and services delivered by the Innovation hub to ensure that they serve the above objectives and target beneficiaries, keeping track of the defined KPIs.
Job Accountabilities:
- Overseeing the operation of the technology innovation labs (IoT/Robotic, Digital Fabrication, Electronics ..etc.)
- Supervising and overseeing the operation activities of Innovation Hub in coordination with the external operators (Supporting, monitoring, performance review and resolving challenges)
- Promoting Innovation hub services, targeting electronics industry empowerment
- Establishing and maintaining partners' relationships with stakeholders
- Maintaining the delivery of the Technology Labs services to engage local creative and technical entrepreneurs, students and graduates, and industry partners
- Managing the administrative, financial and promotion activities with other supportive
departments within ITIDA
- Responsible for maintaining, updating and safely operating the physical space and the
- equipment of the technology labs
- Maintaining technical aspects and training programs at innovation hub
- Periodic reports for the innovation hub activities, challenges and achieved KPIs.
- Performs subcontractors’ communication, negotiation, and validates deliverables to ensure the quality, schedule and budget.
Education:B.Sc. in Electronics / Mechatronics / Electrical / Computer Engineering Required Experience:1-2 years of experience in electronics technology labs (design or manufacturing) domain, IoT, Robotics or embedded systems.Familiar with financial and procurement practices.Hands on Experience in Digital Fabrication, IoT, Robotics, and Electronics tools is a plus Good knowledge of new trends and advanced technology in the electronics industry and digital fabricationFamiliarity with CAD/CAM and/or PCB Designsoftware preferred.Familiar with startup and entrepreneur’s eco-system is a plus Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong conflict resolution, negotiation and influential skillsLeadership and management skills. Excellent command of MS Office and MS Project tools.Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.Strategic and critical thinking.
